Designated Kandakaji-cho 2-3, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, as the headquarter, Shimura Plant is located at 1827 Shimuramaeno-cho, Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, and founded Akao Aluminum Co., Ltd. with 1 million yes as capital to mainly manufacture and sell rolled products of aluminum. 

1956Showa 31

Established a headquarters factory at 555 Asahi-cho, Nerima-ku, Tokyo, and advanced into the equipment processing division. 

1960Showa 35

Started the operation of Narimasu factory. Integrated the rolling department into the head company factory. Separated the sales division and established two sales companies.

Built a reinforced concrete 4 floor factory (4,600 ).

1990(Heisei 2)

Capital increased to 100 million yen. New construction of round press factory (total area 641).

1994(Heisei 6)

Rolling of hard aluminum made possible by renewal of hot rolling mill, and promoted aluminum alloying of bat types etc. at associated equipment factory, thereby enhancing marketability. At the same time, focused on aluminum alloy sales to general users.

1996(Heisei 8)

We succeeded in commercializing aluminum sound absorbing material aluminum fiber which was promoting research and development.

1998(Heisei 10)

Developed aluminum alloy 6061 slug and promoted commercialization.

1999(Heisei 11)

Updated the whole computer system for production management.

2001(Heisei 13)

Acquired ISO 9002 certification at the head company factory.

2004(Heisei 16)

Merging of Akao Aluminum Hitetsu Hanbai Co., Ltd. and Akao Aluminum Corporation into Akao Aluminum Co., Ltd.

2005(Heisei 17)

New headquarters completed in the head company factory. Integrated Kanda · Tokiwadai base.

2008(Heisei 20)

Akao Aluminum Hanbai Co., Ltd.  merged with 7 companies.

2015(Heisei 27)

Changed the organization from division system to headquarters system.

1961(Showa 36)

Rationalization of rolling equipment, remodeling, rolling capacity improved to 300 tons per month.

1965(Showa 40)

Introduction of continuous casting rolling equipment manufactured by Albertmann to increase production of slug.

1967(Showa 42)

The hot rolling mill was updated to a DC drive two-stage reversible type manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd., and the rolling capacity improved to 500 tons a month.

1971(Showa 46)

Aimed for reinforcement of circular equipment and expansion of dieing press.

1974(Showa 49)

Introduced Hitachi's No. 2 four-layered cold-rolled rolling mill with rolling capacity of 1,500 tons per month.

1979(Showa 54)

Introduced large blanking to increase the production of disks.

1980(Showa 55)

LNG combustion slab heating furnace is newly established, the hot rolling line is expanded, and the coil is enlarged.

1981(Showa 56)

Updated the electrical equipment of the No. 4 cold rolling mill and introduced the VC roll to improve the rolling accuracy.

1982(Showa 57)

Crop shear and new atmosphere annealing furnace  established in the hot rolling line. Increased the 125-tons lag punching press and aimed to improve the coil release ratio.

1983(Showa 58)

Large upgrade of No. 1 melting furnace, renovation of No. 1 cold rolling mill and renewal of thick slitting line.

1984(Showa 59)

Established a thin sheet flying shear line.

1985(Showa 60)

Installed an X-ray thickness measurement device on a cold rolling mill to strengthen the function of the automatic thickness control device.

1986(Showa 61)

Increased the size of the No.2 melting and casting equipment.

1987(Showa 62)

Installed AFC in No. 2 cold rolling mill and No. 4 cold rolling mill to improve the flatness of the rolling sheet and increase the rolling speed.

1989(Heisei 0)

Precision slitter E - SL is newly established to realize even higher quality and higher productivity.

1991(Heisei 3)

Performed full renewal of the heating furnace.

1992(Heisei 4)

The hot rolling mill was renewed and rolling capacity reached 1,500 tons per month.

1995(Heisei 7)

Updated the No. 2 melting furnace to further improve energy saving and productivity.

1998(Heisei 10)

Established a slug specific annealing furnace.

2001(Heisei 13)

Updated slug machines and bag making machines. Started development, manufacture and sale of aluminum fiber (Tilt type crucible furnace and a series of manufacturing equipment are newly established).

2006(Heisei 18)

Introduction of a magnet type aluminum melt stirring device.

2008(Heisei 20)

Introduction of automatic circle shears.

2011(Heisei 23)

Introduced a robot to the slug packing line to save labor.

2012(Heisei 24)

Updated control system of hot rolling mill.

2014(Heisei 26) Updated round production equipment (a set of dehydrator, drying device, counting machine, etc.). Introduction of integrated robot equipment for large slugs. New annealing furnace (electric furnace) for plate products. Updated dust collector for melting equipment.
